I am a mosaic artist from Turkey, a land celebrated as the cradle of history and mosaic art. Growing up in Ionia, the ancient coastal region of Anatolia, mosaics profoundly influenced my perspective on the world from a young age. Alongside my 40-year career in pharmacy, the intricate analysis of mosaic patterns and the wisdom of Rumi inspired my true calling—infusing love into glass and stone through my custom stained glass projects. My work draws deep inspiration from the ancient artistic revivals that once flourished in Zeugma and Antioch. In 1997, I made my home in Naperville, IL, where I have been bringing my custom, handcrafted stained glass creations to life ever since. Today, I share my passion by teaching adult mosaic classes and crafting unique mosaic artwork and handcrafted stained glass pieces.

Who? Private or small group (max 3 people) classes for adults interested in creating custom stained glass and handcrafted stained glass artworks.

Where? Classes can be held either at my location or in your home within the Naperville area.

What will I make? Each student will create a one-of-a-kind mosaic artwork while gaining essential skills in mosaic art.

How long is the class? Each class lasts approximately 5 hours and can be completed in a single session or split into two separate sessions (3 hours and 2 hours) for added flexibility.

Do I need to bring anything? No, all glass, tools, and frames for your handcrafted stained glass artwork will be provided.

Is it for beginners? Most students start with zero skills and finish the class with a solid foundation for their independent work as a mosaic artist.

What will I learn? In this class, you'll learn how to use a variety of tools for cutting and shaping glass, explore different types of glass, master essential cutting techniques, and discover the rich, colorful history of mosaic art. By the end of the class, you'll take home your own beautiful, handcrafted mosaic—ready to hang on your wall, display with pride, or give as a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift.
